Jeremy Corbyn's and Zarah Sultana's new political party is gaining traction gaining over 600,000 signups within days of launching.

On the 24th of July 2025, sitting independent MPs Corbyn and Sultanna announced their new political party, 'Your Party' with the aim to challenge the Labour party and provide a more left wing, socialist party. The announcment was met with much excitement and interest from the public with many feeling this part represents the antithesis to the far right Reform UK headed by Nigel Farage.
Your Party's bold red type face and directional langauge seems to provide a neat package to convey their key messages. The statment on their website reads:
"It’s time for a new kind of political party. One that is rooted in our communities, trade unions and social movements. One that builds power in all regions and nations. One that belongs to you."
Promises are made to keep the NHS public, implementing new tax policy, nationalising rail, water and power as well as investing into providing more affordible housing. Your Party also promises to recognise the state of Palestine, calling out the ongoing genocide of Palestinians and protecting the right to protest.
The statement also calls out much of Reforms UK rhetoric stating:
"The great dividers want you to think that the problems in our society are caused by migrants or refugees. They’re not. They are caused by an economic system that protects the interests of corporations and billionaires."
The issue of illegal migration and refugees has been contentious in recent political discourse with many on the right, including the Conservatives and Reform UK, blaming the inefficiency of the NHS, housing crisis and crime on illegal imigrants. Your Party seems to call out this trend instead attributing the issues to governmental pandering to corporations and political donors.
With 600,000 signups, Your Party has surpassed Reform UK's membership count and is one of the fastest growing political parties in the UK. The growth in the party is unprecedented with co-leader Zarah Sultana stating that 'Your Party' isn't even the final name of the party with this decision being left up to members. Perhaps the growth of Your Party may be due to a growing divide between Labour and their voter base with many now finding the modern Labour party and current goverment to be less liberal and left in their policies and actions. Left wing critics of the party claim that the modern Labour party is "pandering" to right wing voters seen with the party retracting protections for transgender individuals as well as attempting to restrict protests across the country.
It is no doubt that the launch of Your Party has started a stir in Westminster. Zack Polanski, a potential leader of the Green Party, has stated that he would be open to work with Corbyn and Sultana's new party potentially meaning they could create a coalition at the next general election. However, there are fears that this new political party could fragment votes on the left leading to Reform taking a lead in the next general election.
